Installed these PIAA 7440 Bulbs to replace my stock Backup Light Bulbs(which has always been a little dim) on a 2003 Honda Odyssey. Installation was a snap and they fit right in. These higher wattage bulbs definitely make it much brighter (which was the goal) when backing up than the stock bulbs. I don't believe the higher wattage will be an issue (like the additional heat generated) since the vehicle is never in reverse for an extended period of time - normally not more than around 10 to 15 seconds (stock backup bulb is supposedly 21 Watts versus 27(for the PIAA) Watts).
