Great value, nice pure white light with a hint of violet. These are worth the effort, skip the L.E.D. 's they are not even close in lumens.

921ST Sylvania Silverstar Backup/Interior Light Bulbs(Pair) Review

They are still working fine and are definitely brighter than my standard backup lights with standard bulbs. The main reason I purchased these is because it is hard to see to back up at night with tinted windows. These definitely helped.

PIAA 19225 27-Watt 7440 Xtreme White Miniature Bulb - 2 Piece Review

(More customer reviews)Handling/Delivery in 6 days (to New Orleans) using the standard (USPS) shipping from Amazon. Installed these PIAA 7440 Bulbs to replace my stock Backup Light Bulbs(which has always been a little dim) on a 2003 Honda Odyssey. Installation was a snap and they fit right in. These higher wattage bulbs definitely make it much brighter (which was the goal) when backing up than the stock bulbs. I don't believe the higher wattage will be an issue (like the additional heat generated) since the vehicle is never in reverse for an extended period of time - normally not more than around 10 to 15 seconds (stock backup bulb is supposedly 21 Watts versus 27(for the PIAA) Watts).

(More customer reviews)I really liked the idea of upgrading all the bulbs on my car to LEDs. So I thought I would start simple, just 2 taillight bulbs. I'm glad I started small. The bulbs do fit and work pretty much as advertised. However, the car's plastic housing that the bulb fits into is really designed for an incadescent bulb, it doesn't work well with an LED. If you look at the plastic housing, it is several inches across, and the rear of it is speckled chrome, where each small speckle forms something like a 1000-part frensel lens, providing tremendous reflectivity of the bulb. However, that reflectivity isn't achieved with a rear-firing LED, as opposed to a global firing incadescent bulb. Basically you see 6 tiny points of light from the LED as opposed to one huge light from the incadescent bulb. I found the LED to be less bright and harder to see that the incadescent bulbs. Bottom line, I don't think they work well, and will end up being a traffic hazard. I put the incadescent bulbs back in.

Vision X HIL-7440A Amber LED Replacement Bulb Review

(More customer reviews)Great price! looks like a great product, but no way to tell for sure. Bulb does not fit on my 07 Prius. My guess is that if your car's backup lens can be easily removed so this bulb could be put in base first, it might fit. On my Prius where the light goes in bulb first - the bulb is too fat to fit through the hole. It would have been nice to know that before I bought the bulbs. I'll hold on to them in hopes I can find a car they will fit.
