I simply opened the packaging on the shipping tube on one end, and slid the end of the product out to see it was incorrect, and slid it back in and retaped, and they won't accept it... Don't buy this if you have an 06 Tundra body style...it'll rub the bottom of the tailgate...

(More customer reviews)The one I got didn't work, but in trying to figure out why it didn't work, I discovered that it has a VERY DANGEROUS flaw in it's design: If the control unit fails the daytime running lights will not work AND YOUR REGULAR HEADLIGHTS WILL FAIL ALSO!!! If this DRL kit were to fail while driving at night YOUR HEADLIGHTS WILL SHUT OFF!!
Do not buy this product, and if you have it you should disconnect it IMMEDIATELY.

I was hesitant that just the 3m tape would hold it on, but it's been on there and hasn't budged in almost half a year. I did have an issue with the connector that is on the wiring harness, but it was an easy fix as I cut it out and put some sta-kons in it's place.

(More customer reviews)Well, I believe this kit would be nice, only it didn't say anything about needing to connect it to a spark plug wire as well as the rest of the connections. Well, my wife's 2006 Toyota RAV4 Limited didn't come with daytime running lamps, but it also doesn't have spark plug wires! My 2009 Subaru Forester even has spark plug wires! This was a learning experience for me, as in place of spark plug wires, this Toyota engine had a large rectangular "box" that fit over all 4 in-line spark plugs, and thus connected the spark plugs to the ignition via the one large unit. I wasn't going to attempt disassembling (if even possible) this technology, so, I don't have DRL still on the RAV4.
The parts inside the box appeared well made, not some pretend plastic crud, but again, I didn't get to connect the kit to know if it works!
Chances are likely that you will have wires going to your spark plugs, but I suggest checking now that I've seen what I have. It would have been nice to know before I ordered the kit, then I wouldn't have had to return it!

(More customer reviews)Does a good job but the adhesive supplied to attache it to the truck is not up to the job. The easy fix is to attached it with SS screws. Even adding the screws (excluding time to go buy them) the install was less than 45 minutes.
UPDATE: 6 months use now and working just fine!

(More customer reviews)We work in Chicago and the IGNORANT Yuppies feel that they can ignore construction barriers and WARNING SIGNS etc. and walk right IN TO and across construction zones. EVERY TIME the truck moves, someone tries to walk across the MOVING TRUCK'S PATH like the retards they are.
The first few nights we used these on the job, the crew we were working with even complained that the lights were too bright until they saw the way that IGNORANT AND SELF ABSORBED pedestrians got the HELL out of the way of the truck when we turned them on.
These lights glow like the sun and even the most self absorbed tard in Chicago can't miss these lights!! The price was cheeper than any quote we got from our local stores and we had it delivered right to the mechanic that installed them for us.
These lights have saved the life of Yuppie-Scum and prevented an unwarranted lawsuit from some "Genius" walking beneath the tires of our Heavy Equipment.
I LOVE these lights... I can't wait to get my Video Camera and post a vid of just how well these lights are working out for us!

HELLA 010043801 Universal Rectangular LED Slim Daytime Running Light Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I actually give Hella 3 1/2 stars for their effort on this item. Why? First of all I have never been disappointed with Hella yet I am disappointed with this Hella product. The product. First the good: The connectors from the DRLs to the wiring harness are typical Hella quality - excellent! Now the bad: 1)The lights, both housing and lens are plastic. Will the plastic lens hold up and not break or chip to all the stuff that the front end of the car meets everyday on the road? Who knows? I covered mine with X-pel so there may not be a problem. 2)There is NO mounting hardware of any kind provided (save 4 screws) by Hella - NONE! The instructions indicate that the lights should be mounted from the back with the provided screws (provided that your vehicle has a sturdy/drillable/accessible mounting surface BEHIND the DRLs. 3) There are NO wire connectors provided by Hella that would connect the provide wiring to the provide electrical relay. Want to hook up your Hella DRLs to the relay so they work as DRLs? Go buy some connectors. 4) As you go through the installation instructions the pictographs (typ) indicate to install this or that now - only to read "this or that" is NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE! 4) The housing is actually a curved trapezoid on the long axis and the lens is also curved on the short axis. Be careful how you mount these or you may not get the look you want. 5) I believe the provided LEDs are "Audi Bright" but they are VERY directional. Carefully check final mounting to be sure you get the look you want. $278.00! Take your chances.

The lights aren't cheaply made, they work fine after being wet, just make sure you keep the receiver dry. Then antenna reaches about 40ft away and remote comes with a guard that slides up over the buttons so no need to think you are going to turn your lights on by accident.

HIGH POWER LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT DRL LAMP AUDI BMW Review

(More customer reviews)I just purchased a 2012 Ford Focus and wanted to enhance the look of the front end with super brite LED DRLs but was not willing to compromise by giving my brand new car a 'boy racer' aftermarket appearance. After much planning for placement, measuring for fit and research I took a gamble and decided on this set of lights for my project.
The result is a perfect fit for the space I designated for installation and even the shape/styling the LED housing itself is a perfect match for the front facia on the 2012 Focus (will post pics). As to the LEDs themselves they are super bright and fully visible in broad daylight. Other than the fact they are not integrated into the headlight housing, they look every bit as good as the factory installed lights out there (Mercedes, BMW, Audi).
I don't know what the fitment would be for other vehicles but without having a factory option, I don't feel there is a better option for my car. As for the lights as DRLs these are an incredible Bang for the Buck and I would highly recommend them!
On a side note, shipping was faster than expected for free standard delivery.

Euro Style 6 White LED Daytime Running/Fog Lights Bumper Lamp Review

(More customer reviews)There is no switch so I wired the positive wire the accessory fuse box and the negative end to the battery so the lights are only on when the car is on. I would rather get a light with more LEDs at least 8 per light. They are bright enough for morning and afternoons but mid-day the lights look cheap. Other than that its ok. I would save some money and get the hella, worth the money.
