(More customer reviews)Anyone who has bought aftermarket lights knows that Depo is a name with great reputation. I have bought them a few times, and they were always great. There are other no-name products assembled in Asia, those are poor quality items, stay away from them.
I purchased my set from AUTO TRUCK PLUS, who is offering very good shipping for seventeen bucks. The units look great, and very much identical to OEM parts. Very nice design of the projectors, they make a clear cut-off light pattern. I tested them in a room, and they do show a few spots, like starts in the night sky. The barrier inside has little holes, which explain the light spots. This is one very strange thing they do, must be a signature of Depo units, or something. I have not installed them yet, so I'd have to update on the performance once on the road.
These use same bulb types as OEM, so there should not be any issues with the system as far as load distribution, etc. You won't need to buy bulbs too since they are already installed in these headlights. There is an opportunity to upgrade to Xenon aftermarket, and it seems to be a simple process. You already have decent projectors in place, so it won't looks lousy like some kids like to make it, blinding every oncoming driver because their lights are shining in every possible direction but where it should - down on the road ahead, staying below the eye level of other drivers. I believe in properly bright lights which are properly adjusted and not just blinding others, and that is why we use projectors.
Buy them, swap yours, they plug-in directly, and I am sure you'll be happy too. So good to see that Depo now makes these headlights for 8th generation Civics!
