(More customer reviews)Like a previous reviewer, I also found this light at Home Depot for $[...]. I bought one to try and I am quite pleased with the output and dimmer performance on the bulb. The output is slightly "crisper" than standard incandescent bulbs, but very close. I find that I prefer these bulbs over the standard bulbs that I am replacing.
I came to amazon looking for the the Cree CR6, while researching the the model at HD (which appears to be identical) because according to Cree, the CR6 is rated for 50,000 hours, and has a 5 year warranty. The one from HD is rated for 35,000 hours, and only has a 3 year warranty. I have no idea if there are any physical differences in the manufacture of the product, or its simply in how they are marketed, so read what you want into the warranty and ratings... But if you can get the CR6 from a reputable supplier for the same price, the extra 2 years warranty might be worth it.
So far, after figuring shipping, and potential risk when buying from unknown online merchants, I haven't been able to find them at the same price. I was hoping to find them on Amazon, where i could use my Prime membership for free shipping!
