(More customer reviews)After reviewing several distributors of 50ft rope lighting, this was what I wanted at a good price. The wiring is parallel, so one failed lamp does not black out the downstream lamps. (In fact, it survived one poorly aimed hammer blow with only 1 failed lamp.) The light is incandescent warm, not bothersome bright, but enough for accent lighting and navigation. We mounted it up on a trellis, where it is plenty of light for the dining table below (but I'd surround all 4 sides of the table). I looked at LCD lighting, but finally decided that it was too expensive.

(More customer reviews)I bought the led vs. the basic rope light for its ability to no get hot. The problem with the LED is it gives off a blue light especially against a white backdrop. If I had to do it all over again I would of bought a regular basic rope light.

(More customer reviews)This is a very durable rope of LEDs, spaced 1" apart, with high quality connectors and 3 prong power cord and plugs. Although not waterproof, should be fine outside in dry areas. Sets can be connected up to 200 feet, according to instructions included. Light intensity is suitable for environmental "accent" lighting or safety uses, such as stairs. It is not strong enough for reading, in my opinion. The "warm white" color looks somewhat yellow to my eyes; the photo is pretty close to the actual light emitted.

(More customer reviews)These lights are a lot brighter than I thought they would be but not overpowering....lights up a good 20-25 feet. You need to get the half inch cable clips though because the clips provided will crack and break over time. Make sure you get short wood screws that have a big enough head so they dont't go through your terminal clip holes. Just compare the screw head to one of the terminal clips throught the package to check the sizing. The half inch cable clips are a little loose to the rope, but that is good, so you can pull the rope taught through. When you really want to clamp it down tight at the corners, use two screws...adjusting the outer clip hole up snug against the rope light. You will love these lights, I got two 25 foot lengths and they are all nice and bright....I got the plain white ones and mounted them just under my top cap on the inside of the deck and connected it to a timer. It also lights up the house with a soft light that looks really cool.

I live in Michigan where it gets cold in the winter. I use these outside and they work year round. Very good product.

(More customer reviews)Purchased this to use as over the cabinet "accent" lighting after researching a number of LED strips/panels. For the price I decided to try it as other kits sell for well over 5x this unit. Installation was a snap...drilled a hole on the top cabinet so the unit can be plugged into the over the range microwave's 110v outlet, secured the rope with heavy duty double sided tape along the wall/edge of cabinet top and finally put a manual switch in-line with the outlet. Although the light output is not bright enough to use as a primary light source, the output is very even and makes a nice light when it's dark and you just need to get things without turing on all the lights. Overall very pleased and have received numerous questions and accolades on the overall look. They do have "warmer" color temperature ropes that may match flourescent or incandescant lighting but I like the accent of the whiter light which is noticeable with other lights on.
