(More customer reviews)I purchased the chauvet mushroom about 2 weeks ago, it seems to work as advertised, but the issue I have with it is the sound activation seems very random , the beams either jerk left or right a bit, or spin constantly and it seems that unless you barely turn the knob then the sound activation doesn't work at all, (there is really no variable sound level input it's on or off) overall I am unimpressed with chauvet products I also purchased a chauvet B250 bubble machine that was basically a squirt gun that shot bubble juice all over everything and blew about 50 bubbles a min (a 5 year old with a bubble wand could do better and spill less fluid)I used the recommended "chauvet bubble juice" that costs twenty bucks a gallon and tried the regular cheapo juice the cheap stuff actually worked better maybe 70 bubbles a min at five bucks a gallon...... I think that chauvet products are hit or miss (mostly miss from my experience so far).

American DJ MB8 Combo 8 Inch Mirror Ball Kit Review

(More customer reviews)This was purchased as a gift for home use, so this review is not based on professional use of the product.
It came quickly and well packed. I had not complaints with the company.
Assembly was easy, just add batteries and attach the ball to the stand. It connects using a cotter pin that just slides on. The stand can be placed on a table or hung from the ceiling (it has a wire half-moon that would connect over a hook attached to the ceiling). The light comes with 4 color covers.
Everything worked out of the box without issues. About the only complaint I have is when changing the color discs, you unscreww the outer plate of the light. I found it takes a few tries to get it screwed back on. You have to line it up just right. Otherwise, excellent product.

American DJ Fusion FX Bar 2 LED Effect Bar With 3 Effects In One Review

(More customer reviews)I'm an Event DJ of 7-8 years. I play weddings, parties of all kinds, and prior to my acquiring my Fusions, my set of lights included exclusively Chauvet products.
I've taken my pair of Fusions to about 10 events since I purchased them, and I've been very happy with their performance to date. My guests have made several positive comments about my Fusions as well.
Pros: All-in-One device and light weight makes for excellent portability; Wash lights are bright and the moons are very well defined; DMX configuration to my controller was a cakewalk; device performance during my gigs have been exceptional; Devices are relatively small and inobtrusive in comparison to a pair of t-bars/light trees and a mess of strange-looking boxes hanging from t-bars (makes for an overall cleaner look).
Cons: All-in-One device aspect makes for a bad thing if something in the device fails; LEDs in the moons could be brighter; Device is ~1" too long for my equipment case (picture an airline carry-on bag - hard case, foam internals). Yeah, I know the case issue is somewhat dumb (buy a bigger case, ya' idiot). I couldn't come up with any other Cons, and this one kinda irked me when I found this bit out, hence its inclusion. :)
All said, this is a very dynamic and "does everything" device. I've been looking forward to something like this for a very long time. Load-Ins and Outs are SO much easier, and setting the devices up @ my events takes all of five minutes.
The moons' projections are very sharp, and the variable rotation speeds are fluid and an awesome feature. I just wish the LEDs were a bit brighter. :)
This is my first ADJ purchase (I was previously a complete Chauvet zealot), but the features incorporated into this device make this my new favorite toy. :)
One last tidbit: Anyone remember "Crichton" (sounds like "KRY-ten") from the old "Buck Rogers" TV series? These fixtures kinda look like his head...heh.

(More customer reviews)This is a good multi-option disco light for indoor dance parties. I have it installed in my basement which has 9 ft ceiling. The distance from the floor/angle at which light falls on the floor determine the area covered by the beams. For my basement the lights covered a 36 sq ft area. The LED flower lights and the laser feature are great. I am not too impressed by the strobe effect of LEDs. The regular higher wattage strobe gives a better impact if you are willing to spend for added electricity use. However this light is still good for the price: you 3 light effects in one fixture installed in the ceiling.

American DJ Vertigo Multi Colored Sound Active Effect light Review

(More customer reviews)This product has 2 300 watt bulbs in it and gets extremely hot (it has a less than adequate cooling fan). The instructions say to turn it off every 5 or at least every 15 minutes for a cool down period. I believe it would melt the electronics if you let it run too long. For my (home) use purposes, this was ridiculous. What you can do is remove one of the 300 watt bulbs or replace the 300 watts with 200 watt bulbs for about $5 each.
I found just one 200 Watt bulb was still plenty of light, and cool enough for continuous operation.
Otherwise very nice light and appears well made (metal not plastic, etc).

American DJ O Clamp 1.5 Wrap Around O Style Clamp fits 1.5 or 2 inch tube Review

(More customer reviews)As a profefessional DJ I do my fair share of private parties, proms and weddings. In the past I've used J hooks, L hooks and other similar hanging bracket devices all of which had the same problem, the unyeilding screw that eventually marred your black T bar or truss. Then I found the O Clamp! Yes, they've been on the market for a long time but it took me to actually see one in use to understand these were as good as sliced bread. So I ordered 6 to try. Then 10 more. Then 24 more. Now I have o rings out the kazoo, but I'm through with all those other clamps. Beware though: if you are using a T bar or hanging on a standard tubular 1.5 inch to 2 inch truss bar, you want the 1.5 O Clamp. The 1.0 clamps are made for the small skinny tubes you find supporting ceilings and such. And for around 5 bucks a piece, these are great buys. And a lot more secure than loose brackets.

(More customer reviews)I'm very happy with this product. It's professionally designed with a built-in mic that picks up the sound and the lights move with the beat of the music. You can also adjust the speed of the lighting effects as well. I'd recommend it for any DJ or anyone looking to add some nice effects to their party. The only thing I wish it came with are some different kinds of mounting screws or even plastic tie-downs. A very good buy for your money!
