(More customer reviews)Like most DJs I have been using the sc-8 wired version. Finally American DJ came out with a remote controlled wireless version! I love this unit. It saves me set up time because I don't have to run a 50' cable to my booth and place the switch panel there. Now I set up my stand and lights, plug them in and I'm done. The power pack feels solid. It's a little thicker than the wired version pack. It has eight electric plugs, one 1/4" UC3 jack to control 1 American DJ light (more if daisy chained), and a circuit breaker. You can plug in eight lights and turn them on and off with the remote. No flash button, just on and off. Also the UC3 control is great. I have two of the American DJ Mega Pixel LED lights so I plug in the UC3 control to the "Master" light and run a XLR cable to the second light to link them together. The remote also has the the three buttons to control any UC3 light, just like the wired UC3 remote except there is not a flashing light on the remote to show what mode you are in. It reacts fast and works through walls at a distance.I put a clamp on it to hold it to the light stand.
The remote is small and takes an 23A battery. Push the buttons firmly and it works every time.
It has an all on and all off button you hold for 5 seconds. This is 16 amps and will handle all your LED lights great. I love this and will never go back to a wired lighting controller. Good product!

(More customer reviews)This remote is simple with 3 buttons and a 1/4" plug. The cable is 35' long which seems to be plenty long. I use it with the American DJ Megapixel LED light and it's great. With that light I can go through the lighting programs, make it strobe anytime and turn it off. I love using the remote so I can change the light patterns or select a single color anytime from my DJ booth. It could only be better if it were wireless!

(More customer reviews)This is a great light for the price. A lot of different configuration options. Several auto modes and 2-7 channel DMX operation. Very bright too, brighter colors than a standard incandescent PAR46 with gels. Makes a very tight spot. 4 out of 5 because up close the different colors are noticeable in the light beam.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product directly from American DJ. Their shipping and customer service was very good. The product, however, did not look like the picture, but still gives the flame effect I needed for our fireplace display. The Silk Flame had to be shipped to me later because it was missing from the box. It would have been a great product if it worked right. It worked for what we needed, but it was frustrating because the lights would go out with the slightest nudge to the base. I will note that I did buy it at a DISCOUNTED price and the product was advertised as being "blemished." I called American DJ and they assured me it worked and the base was just dented. Maybe if I had bought it brand new it wouldn't have the same problems I had with it? Anyway, I gave it three stars because only one light was working consistently the whole time we needed it. I don't know how reusable it will be because of this. I wish they would come up with a similar product that's a lot more sturdy. Will add a video review later.

American DJ Fusion FX Bar 2 LED Effect Bar With 3 Effects In One Review

(More customer reviews)I'm an Event DJ of 7-8 years. I play weddings, parties of all kinds, and prior to my acquiring my Fusions, my set of lights included exclusively Chauvet products.
I've taken my pair of Fusions to about 10 events since I purchased them, and I've been very happy with their performance to date. My guests have made several positive comments about my Fusions as well.
Pros: All-in-One device and light weight makes for excellent portability; Wash lights are bright and the moons are very well defined; DMX configuration to my controller was a cakewalk; device performance during my gigs have been exceptional; Devices are relatively small and inobtrusive in comparison to a pair of t-bars/light trees and a mess of strange-looking boxes hanging from t-bars (makes for an overall cleaner look).
Cons: All-in-One device aspect makes for a bad thing if something in the device fails; LEDs in the moons could be brighter; Device is ~1" too long for my equipment case (picture an airline carry-on bag - hard case, foam internals). Yeah, I know the case issue is somewhat dumb (buy a bigger case, ya' idiot). I couldn't come up with any other Cons, and this one kinda irked me when I found this bit out, hence its inclusion. :)
All said, this is a very dynamic and "does everything" device. I've been looking forward to something like this for a very long time. Load-Ins and Outs are SO much easier, and setting the devices up @ my events takes all of five minutes.
The moons' projections are very sharp, and the variable rotation speeds are fluid and an awesome feature. I just wish the LEDs were a bit brighter. :)
This is my first ADJ purchase (I was previously a complete Chauvet zealot), but the features incorporated into this device make this my new favorite toy. :)
One last tidbit: Anyone remember "Crichton" (sounds like "KRY-ten") from the old "Buck Rogers" TV series? These fixtures kinda look like his head...heh.

(More customer reviews)I use to own 2 of these exact lights in the non-LED model. This one is slightly more compact and has a bigger lens, but performs the exact same effect, but at a fraction of heat and energy consumption. My old ones would automatically shut off after 15 moments due to overheating and would turn back on 2-3 minutes later and would constantly cycle this way. Those problems are gone with the LED versions. Awesome product and cool effect!

(More customer reviews)LED lights are ok, not clear and sharp, but blurry. Focus adjustment is a joke...You cannot get a clear and sharp image no matter how hard you try. Instructions are poor...better off trying to figure out how to use the light from U-Tube videos. Some U-Tube videos are pretty good, and they provide great detail about the light and how it works. Front lens is made of thin plastic, which is representative how the rest of this light is made, cheap...I would not pay $299 for this light...If I didn't get this from Amazon at their special price of $172, I would be sending it back...

American DJ 64B LED Pro Black Can LED RGB Color Mixing With Onboard Dimmer Review

(More customer reviews)Unlike some American DJ products I've bought that were low quality junk, these LED Parcans are made of high quality materials, and have a 3 year warranty. They are solidly made, and the DMX programming is well thought out. There are a few modes of DMX control, including beat detection and master/slave mode. I use the full DMX manual control mode with 6 of these, and all 6 have worked flawlessly. Compared to my old halogen bulb parcans, these are a little heavier. They have a narrow beam, which may or may not be good depending on how you plan to use them.
The only caveat is that all LED parcan's today are not "super" bright. They are moderately bright, and work well in a dark room. They can get washed out if the ambient light is too high. If possible, try to see one to be sure the brightness is what you are expecting. If you decide you want to get LED DMX parcans, these products have worked flawlessly for me.

American DJ Starball LED DMX Controllable Mirror Ball Type Effect Review

(More customer reviews)Not the most expensive light by far, but my favorite. LED runs cool and long. The motor that turns the ball (band drive) sounds like, is very quiet. the lights are crisp and create and amazing effect with or without fog! The DMX feature allows me to control brightness, directions, and strobe speed! For slow songs, it simulates a disco ball, creating a classic and romantic atmosphere. When the beat cranks up, the built in sound mode creates unpredictable flashes and movements.
One thing i wish it had was an adjustable bracket to angle once its on a truss or light stand. Its either you put it in the center of the room up high shining down, or have the light shine more the way of looking at a clock, rather than a disko ball. One solution is the American DJ "O" clamp, although it does not cet tight enough to support the starball if you wanted hung horizontally.

American DJ Dekker LED Powered Color Changing Effect Light Review

(More customer reviews)Goodbye Aggressor and Kinta. This is the new King of Derbys. A great light for the fog-restricted, instant response and great sound active programs. Adding the white color is great. Split these wide in a pair and let them take care of everything. Light intensity is on par with the Agressor, which I would say is medium intensity, you will not get much residual wash from this like with the Kinta.
I ordered three, one came not working, the first of any ADJ product I received defective. Another the power connection was unreliable, shorting from the start. Bummed, and had to return them.
And another dismal disclaimer... this unit, unlike so many before it, resets when depowered and does not default into sound active mode (nor into the mode it was depowered in). Major design fail. So if you like to remotely switch your unit's power feed, you will not be able to use this light in sound active mode. When you power it up, it simply does nothing, it requires reselecting the mode and unless you are controlling with DMX or have 10' long arms, you will be required to purchase a UC3 controller.

American DJ Dual Gem Pulse LED Powered Effect Light Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this DJ Dual Gem Pulse along with the American DJ Vertigo Tri LED Powered Effect Light and American DJ Mini Fog 400 W Fog Machine With Remote And Pint Of Fog Juice. I spoke with my friend who DJs at the local bars in the area and he recommended the Vertigo and Dual Gem lights as good starts for my home setup.
I'd say he was spot on with the Vertigo and fog machine, not so much with the Dual Gem Pulse. I'm happy with the light as a secondary light to the Vertigo. The issue is the Dual Gem Pulse doesn't have much variation in its moonflower light pattern. Compared to the Vertigo, the light variation appears repetitive. The spread of the moonflower light pattern doesn't fill the room. Also, the "strobe" in the middle isn't really a "strobe." It's just a square of individual white LEDs that flash on and off. The effect isn't that of a strobe, where things seem to freeze in motion. Luckily the "strobe" has an on off button, so this isn't a deal breaker. I almost always leave the "strobe" off.
Pros:
- LED light. This is VERY important because you can run the light continuously. DJ lights that aren't LED have to be turned off after as little as 10-15 minutes to cool off. That's a major pain.
- Same stuff the pros use for an affordable price
- Well constructed, made of durable metal components
- Mounting bracket to hang the light up if you want
- Low power consumption
Cons:
- Not really a "strobe"
- Lighting isn't that varied
- Limited spread of the lights in a room
- Not much color variation, only red, green and blue
