(More customer reviews)This light is a keeper. I was planning on adding alot more to my setup but after I fired up this light as my centerpiece in one room I've moved on to my next project. Here's little trick to have alot of instant fun with this light. Get a Y-cable for your ipod and run the second line to a headphone or speaker mounted directly on the sound activation mic. Now you can keep your main sound source at low levels and still have great music/light sync. The built-in auto sound-activated programs cycle through nicely without me ever getting bored. I mistakenly thought I was going to have to get a dmx controller to get the most out of this light. For chilling and having friends over a well placed headphone is all you need. I've had some very synced mind blowing moments when everything lined up perfectly. The LED rotation in version 2.1 is key for this type of effect.
For some reason the Amazon product page shows the discontinued product version. I got my current version from AudioSavings and cannot be happier.
The new/current version of the light has a better looking case and a red star/color circles LED pattern. Keep in mind the Chauvet site also has the old model YouTube demo video linked on their product page.
