(More customer reviews)Connected these up to my stroller for Christmas. They are too bright really to be connected to the outside of the stroller but make great ground effects. Every time my wife and I push our stroller past a cop we get a thumbs up. Our stroller is very visible to traffic. Do not run wires where anyone can touch even the insulated portion. The insulation is really insufficient for the voltages they are pushing. It doesn't hurt though, just a little tingle.

(More customer reviews)I have had these strobes in for a few days now and are nice and bright. I would recommend these strobes to anyone. the only issue with these are the wires. Way too short. I had to lengthen every wire for the strobes. I even had the power supply mounted under the hood. the flash patterns are really good. the switch is kind of dumb if you want to switch patterns a lot. you have to hold the button down and go through all the patterns to get to where you want it. my old set had a couple switches and a knob to adjust it all. but for 90 bucks its a good deal.

Product allows you to wire for LEDs only, Strobe only or together. Tried it all and strobe is still very low. My opinion: buy a unit with strobes only!

StreetGlow ANSV2OR Xenon Strobe Light - Orange Review

(More customer reviews)This little unit is nifty and works pretty well. I use it in conjunction with the ANSC5V2 Strobe Control Module. The only real problem with the unit is that, because orange is such a light color, the strobe doesn't really come off as orange. Rather than having the xenon flash be orange, SG opted for a white strobe with a translucent orange plastic case around it. When it flashes though, the flash appears mostly white instead of orange. (The color problem is what brought this review to a 3, instead of the 4 I would give to the other colors.) Also, I bought 2 of these, 1 red one, and a set of green headlight strobes, and SG's quality assurance didn't seem to include speed of flashing. When you hook up the strobes without the control module, they all flash at slightly different frequencies. When you are using the control module, if you set the patterns' speed high, occasionally you'll notice one of your strobes skip a beat, because it can't recharge as fast as the rest of them.

There are multiple items in the video and its not great quality, but you can see that the strobe works well and doesn't require complete darkness.

Chauvet produces quality products, however they left out some important features...
-No On/Off Switch
-No Rhythm Mode (Flashes On Beat)
But it's still a Strobe and Flashes like one. The only control YOU have is plugging it in (which makes the light flash instantly). Also, there is a Pace Control - in which you can control how rapid the flashes reappear.
I bought my friend a strobe for $9.99 @ KB Toys a few years back that had: On/Off Switch, Rhythm Mode, Color Film (for changing colors [clear, blue, green, red]), Pace Control. So if this strobe is still out there for the same $$$ I'd recommend it.
Well choice is yours!

So I already wrote this review, but since then (only the 3rd time plugging this mini strobe in) the strobe light blew.
Chauvet does not offer replacement bulbs, however, after I contacted Chauvet through emails, they sent me a brand new 1 free of charge.

I know I'm going to disappoint some Chauvet customers, but I did NOT buy this for party use!
My projects include stop motion photography along with High Speed photography. The actual physical size of the unit is much larger than I'd anticipated, The lens diameter is approximately 8" and the length approximately 10". This isn't an issue for my needs, or an indictment of the product, just information for those who might need it.
The flash is VERY bright, well into the range of my stronger (dedicated) photo flashes. Both the trigger, the auto and the music modes work quite well. In the music mode the music volume needs to be relatively loud and the strobe near the source of the sound.
This unit, like most with high output energy (and subsequent heat) has a duty cycle of 20 minutes at maximum power. This is absolutely normal for this kind of device, and it's a shame so many reviewers don't understand that concept.
All in all, a VERY impressive unit for a good price. Should we outgrow this unit (in our photo needs) we'll add more of this model for additional and extended lighting.

American DJ Micro Galaxian Laser Special Effects Lighting Review

(More customer reviews)This is the American DJ Micro Galaxian red & green laser. It is the smaller version of the Galaxian laser with the same laser power output, but a smaller beam spread. It is a compact well built unit with a power switch on the back and a small fan to keep it cool. The small power cord plugs into the back of the unit and has a transformer block on the end of the cord. It comes with a remote that works great, but has an antenna to pull up if needed, which seems like old technology. The remote has 4 buttons which allows you to select auto/sound mode, blackout, color and direction of rotation. When going through the color modes you can select red, green, red/green together or red/green changing and flashing. You can select auto mode or sound mode so it will go with the music. There is also a speed control knob on the back of the laser to have the dots stop completely, move very fast or slow. The darker the room the better, but you can easily see it in any room with the lights on. I am very pleased with it. I havent tried it with fog but I know it would look great since it has 200 beams. It will work great for any DJ to use on the dancefloor, wall or ceiling. This is a great buy under $100.
PROS: It is small, bright, well built and works great. It has a remote to control it.
CONS: Transformer on cord and antenna on remote.
