The description says " can be used to replace or enhance your dome, door, and/trunk lights." We found it to be much smaller than most dome and trunk lights. It measures roughly 1 inch by 1.5 inches which is tiny and certainly not worth $14.

Putco 980114 Universal LED Dome Light Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this universal LED kit several weeks ago to replace the dome light bulb inside my car.
the item description is spot on in identifying everything that comes in the kit, and it is easy to install, 'plug-and-play' as stated.
the light it gives off is great, its bright and i like the white/blue hue the LEDs give off, they look great in the car.
Reason why i only gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because like the review before me the multiple universal adapters the kit comes with that fit in the space where the current bulb is, were all too small to fit in that space. i needed to use the largest adapter provided, and still bend the two metal taps in closer to each other. it was easy to do but youd think a 'universal kit' might have one more larger size.

(More customer reviews)Installed them in a 08 dodge ram 1500 in 5 minutes. Compared to stock they are well worth the purchase price and give off great amount of light. The two push lights pop out with a mini screw driver on the rear side and the main light popped off with a screw driver on the driver side. Shipping time was about one week to NY. These did not need a resistor in 06-08 models.

(More customer reviews)This dome light replacement kit is definately a nice upgrade to the the stock interior lamp with its crisp white light. It definately takes a little bit of gettting use to the new light over the halogen but it is worth it. The only problem I had is that the generic connector would not fit and was too small but nothing a little modification couldnt fix to help the terminal connect. Not to mention the light is bright but i think that it could still be a little brighter. Overall a good choice.

I installed 2 of these as dome lights in my camping van. Good results. I used them to replace incandescent bulbs ASTM 211-2, which are slightly different than 1401's. Illumination/brightness is very good - roughly equal to the old incandescent bulbs. The light is very "white" compared to the old bulbs "yellow" hue. Current draw is only 0.13 amps, versus 0.9 amps for the old incandescent - this is an important and significant improvement for battery life in a camping/RV situation. These LEDs seem to be non-polarized; that is, they can be installed in either direction. I recommend these LEDs.

(More customer reviews)the color of light is cool looking. light improvement as far as seeing at night only slight improvement.i have a ford van with 2 dome lights.i had to put 1 regular bulb back in to keep alarm from malfunctioning. both led's are in the front dome light now. with 2 sets of led's in the front. lighting is 25% improved. very expensive x2 to improve lighting.
