It is easy to use.
It is an LED light so there is no fan. (quiet)
It works extremely well in sound mode. It must be somewhat close to the speaker for the best results.
Build quality is good.
The strobe effect is extremely cool. The different colored shadows this light casts are unrealy. Extemely trippy looking.

(More customer reviews)I'm very happy with this product. It's professionally designed with a built-in mic that picks up the sound and the lights move with the beat of the music. You can also adjust the speed of the lighting effects as well. I'd recommend it for any DJ or anyone looking to add some nice effects to their party. The only thing I wish it came with are some different kinds of mounting screws or even plastic tie-downs. A very good buy for your money!

American DJ LED Color Ball LED Powered Color Changing Frosted Ball With Remote Review

(More customer reviews)Right off the bat, I admit that I love flashy lights and I have purchased a ton of stuff from American DJ. They seem to have the best effects at the right price.
This LED color ball is no exception. The LED source is bright enough to light up an entire room in a wide spectrum of 14 different colors. Each color evokes "oohs" and "ahhs" from my friends every time they look at it.
The included remote is a bit touchy (thus the 4-star review instead of 5) and could use an upgrade, but the ball itself is perfect.
Nice smooth color change effects (The remote has a "strobe" function, but that doesn't work on this light - thank GOD) and a solid, glass globe.
It's exactly what I expected.

(More customer reviews)What can I say. I was using a pretty feeble disco lite for Zumba classes where I play electronic percussion. I wanted a HI Impact lite that showered razor beams of lite in the fitness room while the particpants did Zumba with the hi energy music. I went on the American DJ site and saw a Video of the Quad Phase and the HyperCube. The Quad Phase is portable and has a bracket to rest on and point to the ceiling. WOW. 300 LED lites jump around the walls and ceiling in time with the music. What a great device to liven up the Zumba session. People love it. Always works and the patterns change constantly to keep the lite show original. I don't use a smoke machine but that's OK, you don't really need one. Let's face it people, you can't get razor beams of lite without a smoke machine, but this is a fitness class so I can't use smoke...Unit only weight like 7 pounds. We carry it from class to class. Adds great energy to any fitness session

Mighty Bright Triple LED Music Stand Light (Black With Batteries) Review

(More customer reviews)The light is considerably brighter than a single-lamp gooseneck and comes with its own "gig bag," but the added brightness proved inadequate to the task of peering over the top of a Manhasset stand and illuminating a score. In fact, I couldn't keep the light from shining in my eyes, making it more--not less--difficult to read the music. Unfortunate, since the design (it telescopes into a trim-looking jacknife-size device and has an extremely generous-sized clip) is well thought out. But before the first number was concluded, I was borrowing an electrical lamp. These portable, battery-operated lights are occasionally useful for reading a book, but I have yet to find one that can make good on its claims to light a music stand.
[I'll give it a 4th star because looking at it the next day I can't understand why I had difficulty making it focus on the music. Perhaps I didn't have it fully extended.]

(More customer reviews)I purchase this LED scan system and I am very happy with the light show it has to offer. I am a mobile DJ so I prioritize light weight, compact and affordable. These lights look real good on the mobile DJ booth and dance floor. The only complaint I have is the lack of color gobos and shapes. I would of like to see this have at least 4 more gobos but you get what you pay for. Other than that this light is a really good looking light show for the mobile DJ. If you use them with a DMX controller you can use the white gobo to use as a spot light really good for events were you would like to follow a special guest around the stage or dance floor.

American DJ Punch Pro LED RGB Color Mixing LED Wash High Output Fixture Review

(More customer reviews)It's a solid light. I have 4 of them that I use together and am quite pleased with them. The 0-30% seems unreliable in the dimming mode but most of the time I'm using the colors at full on. It has a reasonably good output for the costs. While less bright than a 500 watt PAR-64 it doesn't draw much power at all about 50 watts so you won't be taxing the power on the venue you use these in. It out performs most LED par cans that I've seen and has a similar oval shape. There are several different modes if you don't have a DMX controller that still make the lights useful, there is a static color, fade, and music modes. There is also a six and three channel dmx mode if you have a controller, RGB and RGB with some effects included. The three channel mode is the only one I use consistently. There is only 3 pin dmx input or output so for higher end controllers or equipment you'll need an adapter to convert from 5 pin. The control it quick and you and do some fantastically fast color chases with the right programming.
Overall it is a good balance of output vs price. Great for DJs and bands performing medium to small venues. It has limited use for conventional theater spaces and large performance halls because of the output.
