Out of the box, once installed, the little red and amber LEDs all glow once ignition is on, the red ones come on brighter when brakes are applied, and when the turn signals are switched on that side flashes. Brake lights over-rule indicators.
Wiring is straightforward. Check for the correct colours on the bike's loom and apply Scotchlok style taps. A problem is the wires connecting to the bike's loom are short and it's a bit of a stretch to connect to the indicator, brake, live and earth. This has to be done twice: one for each side.
The LEDs have too much wire. After sticking them and threading the wire into the bike, each side is plugged into a telephone-style socket and the remaining spare cable has to be bundled up somewhere. Perhaps making all connections under the seat rather than at the front of the bike would be easier.
The product works exactly as advertised, but isn't particularly bright in daylight. The LEDs should be larger and brighter. However, at night having additional lighting under the mirrors tells everyone exactly how wide the motorcycle is, and that is what the lights are for.
