After reading the instructions, I was making smoothies in my blender in 5 mins :) It is very simple to use. This transformer accepted my UK plug without any need of extra adapter plugs and it completes ground with a grounded US cord. I also like it because its a dual converter, so when I go back to the UK I can use it there with my American products. The outlets in the front are clearly labeled, use the 220V outlet for your 220V appliances in the US or use the 110V outlet for your US appliances overseas. Also, select the input voltage in the back according to the country you're using it in, I selected 110V for use in the US. The transformer is also fuse protected and it came with 2 spare fuses in the box. It also came with a European plug.
Being an electrical engineer, I would recommend this product because its simple to use for anyone and most important it is completely grounded which makes it safe.
