(More customer reviews)I bought this instead of the highly rated, similar, Curt 7 way trailer light tester. I did this because the reviews for the Curt unit mention that the LEDs are really dim, and I figured this one would be brighter. I can confirm the LEDs are indeed easily viewable in daylight. The connector fits really loose, and just about has to be head in place. It also appears to be shorter than the Curt unit, so if you have a flap over your trailer connector on your truck, you'll need to hold it open with one hand to read the LEDs. I does get the job done.

(More customer reviews)The product came with a flimsy connector to connect the source wiring. The two wires were red and black, but red wire was labelled "Negative" and the black wire was labelled "Positive". The labels were correct and wires were connected opposite to standard color convention for DC wiring. There is no switch on the fixture, so you must install your own, which can be difficult if you want it to look cosmetically appealing. It works ok and provides adequate light. Overall a bit disappointing, but it does the job.

This seems to work very well because it allows for arm movement and he can even dunk his head to practice swimming. He's much more comfortable in it and I feel a lot better knowing he has some flotation assistance. He's 63 lbs. and about 48 inches tall - the medium fits well.

Peterson V947 Piranha LED Trailer Light Kit Review
