(More customer reviews)On the basis of the mini-mag LED upgrades I've used (and still do) from TerraLux I was expecting better.
EFFICIENCY - the packaging claims "50 Lumen" and "light equal to 4 watt bulb", I would have been happy with half that much and I was still disappointed. I've gotten better luminosity from a single 5mm LED.
The output might be enough to serve as a marker but it was was inadequate for practical illumination (except perhaps in the dead of night) beyond a few inches.
COLOR - I was hoping for a bargain warm-white, but it's warm greenish-white, to be fair, that's about all one can expect at this price range; also, 60hz strobing was noticeable.
BUILD - since the product is an assembled LED module, one must be careful in pushing or pulling on the unit. I broke the first one upon it's first extraction from the socket. I found the best way hold the unit during insertion and/or removal is by squeezing it tightly by the sides of the module rather than anywhere near the plastic dome.
