(More customer reviews)The GOOD: The dome light bulbs in my 2004 Nissan Frontier crew cab would blow out about every 2-4 weeks. I got tired of buying standard replacement incandescent bulbs so I figured I'd try this.
The light is certainly bright, but is a bit directional. It mostly glows straight down but does give off adequate light. It gives off that tell tale bluish white light that all white LEDs have. I angled it towards the back seat since there are a couple other dome lights on the upper console for the front.
The BAD: It is longer than the standard incandescent bulb it replaces. One side of the holding clip in my truck is stationary while the other is rather flexible. I had to push it quite far before the bulb would fit in.
The manufacturer could fix this if they would shorten the metal parts at each end.NOTE!: The D in LED stands for "diode." A diode works with direct current, but only in one direction. If you put the light in and it doesn't work, turn it the other way. There are no instructions on the packaging that explain this and the layman might not otherwise know.
