I've purchased a total of nine (9) BA15s to convert over from all the like configured 12V incandescent bulbs in my camper. They work terrific and I've had no issues with them not working. I can run all of my LED lights and have about the same amperage draw from my batteries as I did before with one incandescent bulb. They claim to last for 100,000 hours. At the rate I use them ( I figured 30 hours per week, but that's probably high) they should last about 68 years or so! I see these as a major benefit in many ways. They provide great light. I was very worried about that, but my fears were groundless. Just one BA15 cell lit at night provides ample light to see everything inside our Pop Up camper which is 27' when opened and offers excellent visibility to work or read within a 6 ' radius. While dry camping (camping without shore power, water hook ups etc.) the wife and I turn lights on and off depending on our location in the camper. This really saves energy.
I did quite a bit of research on LED's and I can tell you that these cost about half of similar ones I found on other sites; plus these were eligible for both Prime and supper saver shipping rates. One thing to know, should you decide to purchase the BA15 you may also want to buy some of the Double-sided Foam Tape, as they do not come with any way to attach the LED board. As pictured The LED board is wired to the bayonet, but it dangles or lays in the fixture. I used the double-Sided foam tape to stick the card to the top of the existing incandescent fixture and it has held them up well. We traveled on a three month cross country camping trip this winter taking over bumpy dirt roads, into the desert, and the mountains. We mostly dry camped and we were delighted with them. I purchased the first ones in February of 2010 and it is now mid August 2010, no problems. A benefit I nearly forgot to mention is unlike the incandescent bulbs they produce almost no heat, especially nice in the summer and no fear of them starting an accidental fire. I've had 12V incandescent bulbs melt light fixtures when left on to long. I do a lot of camping and I'm glad I made the transition.

It's been over one year since I first began using these LED's and I still have absolutely no regrets. They continue to work well and give off plenty of light. They are even less expensive to purchase now than they were then, and they will only continue to pay for themselves in power savings. If you are concerned about cost, amount of light, or ease of installation, don't be, you'll love them. Go for it.
