(More customer reviews)The compass is of great help as we're relatively new in the area. The temp. read out is a great asset. and as for the ice ice alert- I'll wait a bit for that.(hopefully).
I recommend to everyone that does not already have a factory installed compass. It is easy to install and very simple to take down if nescessary.

(More customer reviews)This is a great deal for the cost. The unit was easy to install and set up. All of the functions work accurately. The compass is responsive and sensitive. The backlight is pleasing and stays on for the right amount of time when pressed. What could be better? - operate off of 12V - but you'd need a cord, remote sensor - costs a lot more, and a back light that stays on - drains the batteries too soon. Overall, I'm pleased!

(More customer reviews)The mirror is well made and functions just as advertised. Installation , though advertised easy, was more involved than some may want to get into. I installed it in my 2003 Chevy truck and didn't run into too many problems, but running wires up the windshield post might be a trick in many vehicles. Particularly those vehicles with side curtain air bags located in the windshield post trim, something the instructions don't warn you about.

CIPA's auto dimming rearview mirror provides the perfect solution to annoying headlight glare at night. Mirror automatically dims to reduce glare from headlights reflecting in mirror. Sensors on the mirror indicate when bright lights are used and dim the mirror glass for comfort and safety. Additional features include a compass and temperature readout. Temperature can be programmed to display in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Maplights are also standard on this model. Installation requires running a power wire and temperature sensor wire.
