(More customer reviews)The Westin 27-6000 light kit is functional and provides a couple of 12" spot lighting along the running board. It does not light up the entire length of the board, but where your foot would step with the proper placement. The installation of the wiring is the real test of whether you are an advanced "do it yourselfer". On my 2010 Tundra, I chose to try and get the lights to light up with the interior convenience lights when you push the unlock button on the remote. After a lot of internet searching, I found the answer on where to tap into the wiring. Every maker will have a different answer. The instruction sheets are vague other than a very basic solution. I imagine these lights get returned by lots of frustrated self installers. My suggestion is this, research the installation wiring for your truck before you buy something like this. There are various answers depending on the make of your vehicle. For the Toyota Tundra, I found the answer at Tundra Solutions.
