a) one bonded watertight lens and aluminum vapor-coated reflector,
b) one black ABS lamp housing,
c) one stone shield,
d) one H3 12V 55W Bulb,
e) and two plastic bags containing one rubber grommet (used for sealing the ABS housing around the power and ground wires) and the complete mounting hardware.
Note that the item does not contain any wire or wiring harness. If you need a wiring harness, switches or relays, then you need the complete kit. Hella 005700901 550 Fog Lamp Kit
In my application I was replacing a stock fog lamp with this Hella 550 lamp, so I reused the stock wiring harness. I opened up the old lamp, carefully snipped loose the stock wires, threaded the stock wires through the new rubber grommet and added "insulated female disconnects" Mobilespec/Basic QIFB 16-14 Gauge .25 Nylon Insulated Quick Disconnects - Female Blue 100-Pack (1 Each) to the ends of the stock power and ground wires.
The Hella lens/reflector is attached to its ABS housing by two Philips screws. After removing the lens, gently push the rubber grommet into its mounting hole on the back of the ABS housing. The female disconnect on the ground wire attaches to the male grounding tab on the back of the aluminum vapor-coated reflector. The female disconnect on the power wire connects to the male tab on the H3 bulb. While you're at it, you may also want to coat the connections with some bulb/lamp grease. Permatex 31824 Bulb/Lamp & Electrical Connector Dielectric Grease, .10 oz. The entire lamp reassembles easily.
