(More customer reviews)I purchased this light to replace a conventional T10, 10W incandescent bulb in a 12v reading light fixture on my boat. It fit perfectly and produces much more light than the original bulb while still having a warm hue that closely matches the original color of the incandescent bulb it is replacing. The light output is nicely 'even' - without any hot spot which is evident with the original incandescent bulb. The other benefit is that it runs very cool - I can now grab the metal fixture to re-position it without burning my hand! Yes, even a 10W incandescent bulb will get a metal fixture too hot to touch.
I am very happy with the end result - more light, 90% less watts and the color is perfect! I plan on purchasing several more of these to replace the other bulbs in similar light fixtures. I have 7 of these reading light fixtures on board which when all turned on will pull 70W with the original incandescent bulbs!
I also noticed that there is a mistake in the specs on the web page for this bulb that say it pulls 12.1W. That is just not true. I tested and found that it pulls just over 1W. I suspect a typo on the specs where they probably were trying to say 1.2W.
