GE Nighthawk 921NH/BP2 Automotive Replacement Bulbs, Pack of 2 Review

(More customer reviews)A bulb was burnt out in my high mounted third brake light. The replacement called for a # 912 bulb. I have automotive experience from the past and I know there are many variations on bulbs so I did a little research. What I found was the 921 bulb will replace the 912 bulb, it is identical in size and shape and plug in.
This bulb, the GE Nigthawk 921NH/BP2, is a long life bulb and is rated brighter than the 912. Specifications on the 912 bulb are 151 lumens with a life of 1000 hours. The 921 Nighthawk is rated at 297 lumens with a life of 1400 hours.
All in all a good bulb, brighter and a longer life, works well for me.

CON: Is not OFF by default so whenever I have the headlights on, its on by default and the remote is VERY short range so I can not turn it off by remote while I am in the car. Worried it will get me pulled over someday.

If you buy it around march 1RST and set the month and day on march 1rst then your fine.. which is what I did on my return of item and second purchase... Other wise you will have to Waite until the next year to set the month and date. It defaults back to March 1rst every time you attempt to set the month and date. The second one performed the same as the fist one I returned.. It does other great! things so I kept it but would actually like a discount for keeping a defective product. Now that I know Rally knowingly sells defective products I will deliberately purchase from a different manufacturer going forward...Not to mention Amazon is pushing a defective product, so disappointing..:((
