(More customer reviews)I bought two of these lamps for my RV, but on receipt tried them only briefly to make sure that they worked, which they did. However, after a month or so, when I left on a road trip and actually began using the lamps, one of them began cycling off and on after about 15 minutes. It seemed to be a heat-related failure. (The other lamp worked well and I am happy with it.) On returning from the trip, I emailed the manufacturer, who agreed that the lamp in question was defective, and advised me to return it to Amazon for a replacement -- that Amazon would honor the manufacturer's warranty. So I did that, including a printout of the order and a handwritten note indicating that I wanted a replacement. But, for whatever reason, the handwritten note failed to communicate my intention, because Amazon emailed me to the effect that they would credit me with a percentage of the purchase price of the lamp under their returns policy, and I have not been able to discover a way to contact Amazon to get them to send me a replacement instead. I consider this an "unsatisfactory purchasing experience."
