These are some great lights and offer a number of advantages over regular bulb rock lights. The power draw is low enough you can leave them on all night without worry, and they don't get hot or need any heavy wiring. They are small, can be installed in many places under your rig, and come with a very handy remote (I use this almost exclusively). The light is bright enough to give good illumination, but not bright enough to blind you unless you look directly into them.
The one caveat is that, while water resistant, they are not waterproof. If dirty water gets in between the plastic lense and the LEDs (if your are doing a muddy water crossing for example), when it dries it will leave a dirty film that will build up and eventually reduce the light output.
The way to get around this is to seal the back of the light to whatever you are mounting them on with a waterproof silicone or butyl (I used Lexel). In addition, I built a set of metal brackets to mount the lights on and then bolted the brackets to the underside of my rig. This allows me to remove the lights (when working on my truck) or reposition them without breaking the waterproof seal of the silicone.
I'd give the concept 5 stars, implementation 3 stars, cost 5 stars, overall 4.3 stars.
