(More customer reviews)Originally bought a 6 foot incandesent rope as Home Depot (they did'nt have 6 foot in LED). Attached to back of TV with 9 sticky back clips not blocking any air holes. Found results dim and very yellow at full power. Ordered this 6.5 foot cool white LED lightthrough Amazon, clipped in as replacement. Results are very nice. Appears close to the ideal 6500K color, is quite bright and doesnt color shift when dimmed. Note if your TV adjusts to room lighting conditions you may want to put a reflector between rope light and TVs light sensor so that it doesnt brighten when backlight is turned on.
Really improves picture contrast in dark room and reduces eye strain. A 6 foot rope mounted 2-4 inches in from edge of 40 inch flat screen TV surrounds the sides and top. Good for pedastal mount TV. If wall mounting TV, I would measure and get a long enough rope to make the full circle for best asthetic.
