(More customer reviews)From my review of the clear version, just deduct about 30% visibility because of the smoked lenses:
Impressions after 10,000Km on a 2G Bandit:
- Practically invisible during the day. You are better off giving hand signals.
- Marginally useful at night. Still almost invisible next to a headlight or brake light.
- LEDs are directional, so the signals are only visible close to a 90 degree angle, and even then the output is nowhere near OEM turn signals.
- They are rated 0.5W. Even if true, that's not nearly enough for a decent LED signal.
- They fell apart from vibration after a month. The PCB is not attached to the back plate and the lens got covered in vibration induced dust almost immediately, reducing the already pathetic light output even more.
- They are NOT waterproof.
- They have "E11" marking, which would lead you into believing that they have been tested and approved as turn signals. If they indeed were, whoever approved them should be forced to use them for the rest of their short life.
Conclusion: These "turn signals" are good only for filling the holes in your fairing, and even that only if you don't need a waterproof seal. IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE DON'T COUNT ON THEM FOR SIGNALING IN TRAFFIC!
