Wagan EL2358 2 Million Brite-Nite Spotlight Lantern Review

This is a very bright spotlight powered by a sealed lead-acid battery that recharges from a wall outlet or from a car's accessory plug (adapters included). In addition to the 2-million candlepower beam, there's a lower setting for longer battery life and a small LED in the handle for a small spot light or when only a little light is needed for a long time.
But the big advantage to this light is the built-in fluorescent bulb in the side that can be used as an emergency light or simply to flood a small area.
This is a relatively compact light to be so bright - not like carrying a suitcase. And the added LED and fluorescent flood make it very versatile. I have two. Like all lead-acid lights, you can ruin it by draining the battery. If you need a very bright beam for more than 15 or 20 minutes, buy something that plugs in.

I bought this spotlight for our boat and must say that is does what it's supposed to do "brilliantly". The LED worklight on the side is also a big plus for when you need some light to find stuff or work on something in the dark, where the spotlight will be far too bright. The two levels on the spotlight are also very handy. I have no long term experience and can say nothing about battery life and how it will hold up with time, but I found it good enough to buy a second one and give it as a present to a friend, who enjoys camping.

Max Burton 2.5 Million Candlepower Cordless & Rechargeable Spotlight (Black) Review

Max Burton 2.5 Million Candlepower Cordless and Rechargeable Spotlight (Black)

I bought this to replace my previous cordless light which had a failed battery. The Max Burton had more features such as the built in stand that made it attractive. One warning: it is necessary to keep the lead acid battery charged; otherwise the battery life will be shortened considerably. Recharge it once a month or so even if you don't use it.

This thing looks great on paper but in reality it doesn't work worth a damn. After the initial 24 hour charge,it came on once and then would not come on again. I know the battery was ok because the small led lamp came on ok. Thank goodness I bought it at Amazon. One five minute phone call and they solved my problem by crediting my account for the fullpurchase price.

Very bright and a wonderful idea not to need a charger, any extension chord will work to charge. The only con is it does not hold a charge for long.

It gets the job done if your looking to spot something on the other side of the yard. Its kind of hard to use for stuff up close. Its big and heavy but it has a nice handle with the controls on the handle. The battery sucks and runs out quickly!
**UPDATE 5/11 - after under 20 charges this light won't even charge or turn on. These lights are junk! Get a spotlight that uses LED's.

Cree LR6 LED - 12 Watt - Dimmable - Screw-In Base - 2700K Warm White - Fits 6 in. Can Fixtures Review

Cree LR6 LED - 12 Watt - Dimmable - Screw-In Base - 2700K Warm White - Fits 6 in. Can Fixtures

I purchased three of these units and just completed the installation over the sink in our kitchen. As others have said, they produce a bright, warm light. I decided not to use a dimmer and that turned out to be the right decision because the light is perfect for this application. Not sure if I should have chosen the light with the GU-24 connection, but the edison base was easy to install and no regrets. I installed them in 6" Utilitec brand remodel cans that were purchased from Lowes and the fit was perfect. If you purchase the Utilitec cans, don't buy the trim rings because they are not needed; the flange on the bottom of the Cree serves as a trim ring. I also plan to add more of these lights in the family room when I get a chance and will use a dimmer with those because we want to adjust lighting intensity in that room. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to save on their energy bill. A great product. They really do produce a light color that is identical to a standard incadescent bulb.
